Detailed program
Day 1: Hanoi – Night train to Lao Cai
About 20:00 p.m, pick up at the hotel & transfer to Hanoi station and catch train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train
Day 2: Lao Cai – Bac Ha - Sapa (B, L)
Arrive in Lao Cai station in the morning about 06:00a.m. Transfer to Bac Ha market (70km) (only opens on Sundays morning). Breakfast in a local restaurant. Then, we will visit Bac Ha market - situated 18km from Bac Ha centre. This market is the most popular spot. In the market, you can see Flower H'mong people and other ethnic groups gathering to buy and sell items like buffaloes, pigs, horses, wine and handicrafts. After lunch, continue to visit Ban Pho 1, Ban Pho 2 village. Ban Pho is home to Flower Hmong people. It is a beautiful village on the mountain side. Finally we will take the road to Sapa where we arrive late afternoon. Overnight at the hotel in Sapa
Day 3: Sapa - Cat Cat Village - Ham Rong (B, L)
After breakfast, we depart to discover Sapa - the city in cloud, take part in the mountainous market which is very busy with sellers and buyers. After the market, walking down the road to discover the village of Cat Cat- home to black H'mong. This walk through the old villages offers a taste of traditional customs and habits. You also can enjoy a beautiful waterfall on the way and the remains of a hydroelectric plant built by the French in the colonial era.
In the afternoon, you will make an ascent of Ham Rong Mountain where you will have a splendid view over the city (possibility to admire the spectacle of folk music). Overnight at hotel in Sapa.
Day 4: Sapa- visit- Lao Cai- night train to Hanoi (B,L)
Breakfast at hotel. Full day tour of Sapa starting with its vibrant market and colonial houses. Descending into the Muong Hoa Valley, we reach the picturesque Lao Chai village of Black H'mong ethnic minority and Ta Van village by Dzay. Enjoy stunning views of rice terraces curving around the hillside, winding river and stream glittering in the sunshine. Picnic lunch is served
On the way back to Sa Pa, we visit the Tra Ma village, home to Black Hmong ethnic people. Transfer by car to Lao Cai railway station for night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.
Day 05: Hanoi Arrival
Arrive in Hanoi in the early morning, about 05:30 AM (suggested that you should take taxi to your hotel). End of services
