Sapa – Halong – Tam Coc (6 days 5 nights)

The Northwestern part of Vietnam is one of the most interesting and beautiful areas of South East Asia. Vietnam has 54 ethnic groups and the area around Sapa is an exciting place to see the lives, culture and costumes of the Vietnamese ethnic minorities. In this part of the country the minorities still dress in their traditional colorful clothing – especially the women. Each group has its own distinct color and style of dress. On this tour you will go by train to Sapa and visit some of the minority people in the Sapa Valley and experience the colorful Sapa market where some of the different ethnic groups come into town to sell their products.

DAY 01: HANOI – SAPA (D)

Arriving in Noibai International Airport, you will be welcomed by Vietnam Typical Tours guide. Then we will transfer to Hanoi Downtown, a city of lakes, shaded boulevards, public parks, and the capital of Vietnam.
After dinner, Vietnam Typical Tours guide will meet you at your hotel then transfer to Hanoi Railway Station for Lao Cai Province. Lao Cai is one of the several provinces situated on the Sino-Vietnamese borderline. It is in the northwestern part of the country, with some remarkable features such as biologic diversification and typical mountainous climate. Apart from the Kinh people, the province has several ethnic minority groups including the H’mong, the Tay, the Dzao and the Thai people.
Overnight stay on train.

DAY 02: LAO CAI – SAPA – CAT CAT (B, L, D)

We will arrive in Lao Cai in the early morning, then we will transfer to Sapa via bus, following by a breakfast in hotel. After that, we will go shopping at a morning market, before having lunch and doing your check-in at hotel.
In the afternoon, we will trek around Cat Cat Village of H’Mong Tribe in the valley, located at about 2km from Sapa Townlet, Sapa District. Visiting Cat Cat Village, you will have an opportunity to admire a lively and colorful picture. Cat Cat residents are not only good at the brocade weaving craft, but  manipulating gold and silver jewelry. Their products are fairly sophisticated, especially jewelry for women. Beside the magnificient landscape, you can visit some local families to join with their traditional custom.
We will move back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 03: HAM RONG – SAPA – LAO CAI – HA NOI (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we will climb up Ham Rong Mountain with elevator steps. Ham Rong Mountain, which is situated in the center of Sapa town, is a remarkable tourist attraction. Shaped like a dragon’s head in the clouds, Ham Rong Mountain is nearly 2000 meters high with green trees and colorful flowers almost all year round. Most tourists visiting Sapa do the exciting climb up to the mountain. Recently, this tourist site has been upgraded, in which there will be traditional art performance show for tourists when visiting Ham Rong. The path leading up to Ham Rong Mountain consists of many stone steps and a winding trail higher up will help to see small streams lazily run through bushy foliages. About mid­way, visitors will find themselves in an orchid -garden with more than 400 species of colorful blooms. Standing on the highest point of Ham Rong Mountain, tourists will have a breathtaking view over the romantic Sapa town.
We will come back to Lao Cai City in the afternoon for dinner, then catch the coming-back night train to Hanoi.

Halong Bay


DAY 04: HANOI – HA LONG BAY – HANOI (B, L, D)

We will arrive in Hanoi in the early morning, then we will transfer to Ha Long Bay via coach. Upon reaching the magnificient Ha Long Bay, a dedicated UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site, we will enjoy a cruise and admire some of the most beautiful caves there: Trong-Mai Islet (Rock of the Kissing Cocks), Dinh Huong Islet (Incense Burner Islet), Thien Cung Cave (or Heavenly Cave) and Dau Go Cave (the Cave of Wooden Stakes). Enjoy your seafood lunch on board.
We will return to Hanoi in the afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 05: HANOI – HOA LU – TAM COC  (B, L, D)

We will leave Hanoi for Ninh Binh Province at 8.00 am. The motorcoach will arrive in Hoa Lu at about 10.00 am, after a short journey through the peacefully beautiful sceneries of the rural areas on the way. We will visit Dinh and Le Temples. Dinh Temple worships King Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Temple worships King Le Dai Hanh. These temples were built in 17th century. We will have an opportunity to find out the heroic histories of this two Kings, and their victories in the Battles against the Chinese Invasion.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we will take a boat from Van Lam Wharf to reach the Tam Coc Grotto (which means “Three Caves”), consisting of the Hang Ca, Hang Hai and Hang Ba grottoes. These caves are adorned with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites of different shapes and colours that sparkle like gemstones. If you visit this splendid grotto in April or September, you also have a chance to enjoy the spacious yellow paddy fields along the way.
We will move back and arrive in Hanoi at around 6.00 pm for dinner, relaxing and overnight stay.

DAY 06: HANOI   (B)

Upon arriving in Hanoi in the early morning, we will have breakfast, free time for relaxing and own leisure, before flying back to your home. That is all for your unforgettable trip with Hanoi .
