[OP1] Bac Ha – Sunday market
Start point – Sapa or Lao Cai city
This is the largest market in the region, a place where many hill tribal people gather to meet each other, to buy and sell, to eat and drink. There are 10 minority groups in the Bac Ha region. You can buy there homemade handicrafts and clothes. In the afternoon we will have a short hike to Ban Pho village of Flower H’Mong people. Transfer back to Lao Cai for the night train to Hanoi, or back to Sapa.

[OP2] Muong Khuong – Sunday Market
Start point – Sapa or Lao Cai city
While most of the tourists go to visit Bac Ha market, you can choose more quite local market surrounded by breathtaking nature in Muong Khuong. The tour includes visit to a market and an easy trek for about 2.5 hours through spectacular green mountainous scenery, corn and rice fields and remote villages of Flower H’mong ethnic people. At the end of the trip we will drive back to Lao Cai city and stop near by Chinese border to take a look on Chinese town across the river. The tour ends at Lao Cai Railway Station.

This is a small but very colorful market in a remote mountainous area where mainly Flower H’mong gather to exchange their homemade products. You do not see many tourist at this market. After visiting the market, we will walk to the village of hill tribal people to discover their way of living and to enjoy walking in the nature. Then we will drive back to Lao Cai. The trip ends at Lao Cai train station.

We will start the trip early at morning in Sapa driving about 2 hours by car, enjoying amazing mountainous scenery, to Lai Chau province to discover the colorful market of many hill tribes such as: Lu, Lao, Black Dzao, Tien Dzao, Red Hmong, Dzay, Black Thai. In the afternoon we’ll visit the Ban Hon Village, home to Lu & Thai minorities. On this is a good opportunity to take pictures of majestic Fansipan mountain, passing the Heaven Gate, Tram Ton Pass & Silver Waterfall on the way back to Sapa
