Colorful Sapa Discovery

The trip brings you the realm of uniqueness and exoticness that can only be seen in Sapa Vietnam. From the charming smiles of Red Dzao to the beautiful work of traditional weaving, from verdant valley of hillside of Lao Chai to the green fields of Ma Tra, you are to real adventure spirit of Sapa.
From Lao Cai city, you will take a picturesque drive to Sapa where you will venture to the trails of Ta Phin and Ma Tra. A short walk in Sapa town will refresh you with some emotion of colonial charm. In the next day, you will have time to do trekking in a secluded trail that exposes the typical images of Sapa with rice terraces, wooden houses, indigo plantations and more…

Night 01: Hanoi - Lao Cai overnight train
Our driver will meet you at your hotel for Hanoi station transfer.

Day 01: Lao Cai - Ta Phin - Ma Tra - Sapa
Upon your arrival in Lao Cai, we will visit China border and Mother pagoda.  Enjoy a scenic drive to Ta Phin village, where you will encounter Red Dzao tribes. Our tour guide will explain you further about their traditional work of making handicrafts and herbal medicine. Followed by a walk in Ma Tra, the village of Black Hmong tribe.
Proceed to Sapa town for your rest and leisure.
In the afternoon, visit Sapa church and market. You are free to visit Ham Rong mountain for a beautiful sunset and Sapa panoramic view.

Cat cat village
Day 02: Sapa - Cat Cat - Y Linh Ho - Sapa
We spend full day walking to the land of Black Hmong. From Sapa town, we descent to Cat Cat village, experiencing  how local people make the silks, weaving and making them colored. After visit the Cat Cat waterfall, we trek off-the-beaten path along Muong Hoa river. You will cross the suspension bridge to enter the paradise of rice terraces.  Lunch will be served in a local family in Y Linh Ho.
Continue your walk to Lao Chai where our car awaits to transfer you back to Sapa town. You are free to walk further to Ta Van village if you are more interested by the life of Giay tribe.
Take your time to buy some souvenir before getting back to Lao Cai city.
Boarding on the night train back to Hanoi.

- Train
On our tour, we use first class and deluxe train of Cao Son Express., King Express, Fansipan Express . These trains are well-decorated, warm, air – conditioned sleeper. See our gallery for further details of the train
- Food
All meals, which are indicated in the itinerary, are included in the price of this trip. On the trek the support crew will cook meals for us. Since we are far away from the town, the emphasis will be on healthy and nutritious local produce. Please inform us if you have any special dietary requirement.

- Our tour guide
The tour will be guided by one of our tour guides who are experienced in guiding trekking tours in Vietnam. He has been carefully trained in this field and is fully licensed in tour guiding by the government. In addition, he has been trained in first-aid by SOS International and he knows how to deal with difficult situations. You will have a great time traveling with him.
- The transfers
Our tour guide tour operator will escort you to the train, showing the carriage, berth and other necesseries.
When the train stop at the final station, our tour guide will come directly to your carriage to welcome you and help you with your lugguage. He will be the person who will see you off for the last day in Lao Cai province
In Hanoi, we do have a tour guide to pick you up very early in the morning for your hotel or the next trip.
- The trekking day
A typical trekking day start at about 8.00 am after breakfast. Lunch times can vary depending on the terrain. We aim to reach the next overnight stop by 4.30 pm. During the trek we will have short breaks for rest, snack and photographing.
- What to bring
Trekking boot, sun block, hat, anti-insect repellent, warm clothes, rain coat, toiletries, original passport.
